My year got insane. This past spring was my thesis project for my Master's and everything else in my life slid to the sidelines. I apologize. Good news is, my Master's Degree is complete and I never have to go through that again! I have been taking tons of pictures though from the last post straight up until the end of the school year and as soon as I find the damned cord to connect my camera to my laptop I'll begin updating with posts of the kids' work. In the meantime, I'll leave you with a few teacher examples I had saved to the laptop a while back.

Oil Crayon Value Scale - I have the kids practice this before working on forms. |

And the Forms they move onto once they've got the Value Scale Down! |
For the project above I have the kids cut a 12 x 18 piece of black paper in half - one half becomes the practice page and the other is for the final project. It generally takes about 2 classes, maybe three if you have kids who work very slowly and carefully.
Now, I'm off to find that damned cord...
